XXVth BelgianWeek of Gastroenterology

25th edition of the BWG

BWG 2013 will be a special edition as we will celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the congress!

Here are new ideas implemented for next year aside from our regular program:

• The scientific sessions will be enhanced with more “State of the Art” lectures.
• 3 research grants of 2.500 euro will be awarded each year, deadline for the submission of the files will be October 1st. (See BWG  Research Grants). 1 grant will be given for the best paper in Acta Gastroenterologica Belgica of 2012. No application is necessary for this grant. 
• On Friday morning, we will have a "Case Report" Session moderated by the VVGE and SRBGE. 
• On Friday afternoon, the Brohee Prize Lecture will take place followed by the Plenary Session where the very best abstracts of all research groups will be presented. 
  The ceremony of the awards for best presentations and the awards for research grants will be at the end of the Friday afternoon. 
• On Saturday the Seven Societies Postgraduate Course will start at 9am and end at 1.30pm. The title for this year:  “Achievable and realistic challenges for the next 10 years in Gastroenterology”. 
• In order to attract more attention to the Posters, we will organise and advertise an Oral Poster Presentation Session in the Posters Area with one or more moderators and TV screen. Two awards are foreseen (1 on Thursday and 1 on Friday).
